Social Enterprise Chicago cordially invites you to Marc Lane’s virtual fireside chat with Andrea Sáenz, the President and CEO of The Chicago Community Trust which is globally acclaimed for mobilizing people, ideas, organizations, and resources in pursuit of its mission to advance equity, opportunity, and prosperity for all.
Before taking on her current responsibilities in 2022, Ms. Sáenz served as the Trust's chief operating officer, overseeing information technology, learning and impact, and talent. As the Trust's CEO, she applied professional and personal insights to improve systems that affect people left out of decision-making. As the First Deputy Commissioner for Chicago Public Library, Ms. Sáenz led efforts to reimagine how CPL could enhance community well-being over 80 neighborhood branches. Ms. Sáenz's team pioneered a human-centered approach to designing library services that prioritize the lives and goals of community residents. Ms. Sáenz has also served as chief of staff to the Chicago Public Schools CEO, policy advisor for the U.S. Department of Education Office of Career, Technical and Adult Education, and executive director of HACE, a national nonprofit working to increase Latinx entry and success in professional careers.
